SENIOR THESIS | YEAR 5 | SPRING 2020 | PROF. MICHAEL FOX
ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM | CAL POLY POMONA
The Domestic Violence Center of Downtown Los Angeles proposes an alternative solution in the physical and social structure of most emergency housing facilities across the United States. Set in the busy context of LA, the DV Center focuses all its efforts on creating an environment that is inviting and focuses on the journey of healing for its occupants through the innovation of sustainable design. Paneled windows, vinewalls, indoor gardens, and indoor waterfall create a sense of calm and peace of mind in the bustling city of Downtown Los Angeles.
